Sharyl Atkinson Resigns at CBS

One of the few national reporters that didn't worship at the Temple of the One, has resigned after growing "frustrated with what she saw as the network’s liberal bias, an outsize influence by the network’s corporate partners and a lack of dedication to investigative reporting, several sources said. She increasingly felt that her work was no longer supported and that it was a struggle to get her reporting on air."

The question will be how many, if any, advertisers will reduce buying spots, or stop buying spots because of CBS firing Ms. Atkisson.

But people familiar with the situation say that Attkisson actually attempted to resign one year ago, even starting to clean out her desk in the Washington bureau.

CBS News Chairman Jeff Fager talked her out of leaving last March, promising that some of the issues she had raised would be addressed.

She's had a website about the scandal for quite some time.....
