What does Sen Dianne Feinstein hope to achieve by releasing the Torture Report?

IMHO it may go way beyond just letting people know what was done during interrogation of captured battlefield combatants and/or the 9/11 participants/planners.

What are the chances the majority of Americans have moved beyond their initial dislike for some of the alleged or actual methods due to the fact info was obtained that aided in preventing further catastrophic attacks in this country?

Could it be a case of revenge on the CIA because she was supposedly the subject of CIA surveillance?

She is getting revenge as the CIA was monitoring members of Congress...that and she is a f'n communist like the rest of the democrats who wont be satisfied until this Great Nation is completely destroyed.

Well, I hope Ms Feinstein is proud of herself for this display of righteous indignation over the supposedly improper interrogation of poor battlefield combatants and/or the 9/11 planners/participants.

A few years back there was a loose rumor of an investigation of a similar nature and instead of using US intelligence agency sources the testimony of the battlefield combatants and/or 911 planners/participants were used as the source of the report.  Is this the report of that investigation?

The release of this report is obviously timed for maximum political advantage. They're trying to weaken the incoming republican majority with baseless accusations of moral relativism. If this wasn't politically motivated, they would have released it in October when it wouldn't have had any political impact at all.
