That didn't take long. Democrats are now blaming Republicans for their cuts to Amtrak as the cause for the disastrous commuter train crash in Philadelphia that killed eight passengers.

"Unfortunately we have seen a concerted effort by Republicans for partisan reasons to step in front of those kinds of advancements."  - Press Secretary Josh Earnest on how Republicans are blocking increased funding for Amtrak.

"There's no mystery about this disaster in Philadelphia and what cost all of those lives in all of those places -- and there will be no mystery when it happens again," - Rachel Maddow on the lack of a positive train control system in Philadelphia, neglecting the fact that Congress passed a bill in 2008 mandating this and is supposed to be completed by the end of 2015.

Of course what is forgotten is a government employee taking a 50mph curve at 106mph and the laws of physics. The good news is the Dems aren't blaming it on global warming er' climate change er' climate disruption er' carbon pollution .... yet.
