Early US History Now Optional in SD
Considering how well history is taught in schools it probably doesn't matter much.

In spite of protests, the state Board of Education agreed to overhaul the standards after an almost yearlong public hearing process. Unlike the old standards, the rewrite gives the option for teaching early U.S. history in high school — it just doesn’t require it.

Any history that happened before the great half black Dear Leader is irrelevant. We have now entered an enlightened age and have the great unifier to thank...all hail Lord Obama!

History, we don't need to study history. What to believe about past events will be dictated!
