"Billy's Mom has affair with psychologist." LOL
The gun scenario brings to mind a friend of mine who had to give an informational/demonstrative speech in sophomore speech class. He brought a 12 gauge shotgun to school to show the proper way to clean a shotgun. This was in '69 and nobody thought anything was strange or out of place.

Re: Then and now
One of my shop teachers brought his War Trophy Thompson submachinegun to class to demo how the parts were manufactured. Fuly auto and totally illegal even then. Everyone in town knew about it because he used to fire it in the woods everynow and then. He used to cut down small trees with it. Today the sound of an automatic weapon being fired draws swat teams like flies!!!

Having a Class 3 Firearms license allows you to own fully automatic weapons. Many individuals have that license although the number of automatic weapons doesn't increase and prices continue to rise as they must be made before a certain date. A hefty fee and extensive background check is all that is needed although you do give up some of your liberties regarding your rights to not be searched.

Our family used to gather around our coal fired radio and listen to the HUAC hearings.

That particular gun can never be legal since it was "stolen" from the govt and imported illegally. The troops brought back literally thousands of German Schmeisers, nifty little 9mm submachineguns, and the famous machine pistol.

What does that have to do with the topic?
If you don't have anything to contribute, shut your pie hole.

In this case the pie hole and the A-Hole are interchangable.BladeRunner wrote:Ham Flower? wrote:What did people do in 1956 before there were chain emails?
