That seems to be the narrative the media wants us to believe. Immediately after the shooting numerous media outlets including the school’s newspaper reported the suspect as being a “six foot tall white male.” even though it's obvious from his picture this guy couldn't have been a "white guy".

Shooter is described as a white male about 6 feet tall, according to sources.

Even his Everpedia page was changed removing the reference to Islam and changing it to Hindu.
