Kind of an interesting quiz that matches your views with a Presidential candidate's including many Libertarian candidates. Note that there are additional questions at the end of some of the categories and extra stances at the end of some of the questions. This is fairly long quiz but worth taking.

I most closely aligned with Libertarian Austin Petersen.

I always recommend that people ignore these types of sites.  There is no magical formula that makes the results completely accurate.  At the very best they are open to error and at the worst they can be highly biased.

I spent a lot of time dissecting one of these sites about a year ago when all 17 Republican candidates were in the race.  I forget the name of it, but it might have even been this site.  In any event, several of my friends were doing the quiz and almost all of them were coming up as Rick Santorum being the candidate they most aligned with.  Well knowing my friends and knowing what Rick Santorum’s record was, that just was not possible.

When I dug through all the details of the questions it was obvious that the quiz was highly skewed.  I don’t know if it was intentional or not.  There were numerous questions for which they did not give Rick Santorum a position on.  The few questions that were linked to Santorum were the OBVIOUS conservative issues that every conservative would agree with.  However, when you got down into the weeds were there were differences between the candidates there were no links to Santorum and therefore NO NEGATIVES showing up.  Hence, if you were a conservative of almost any stripe, you were most closely aligned with Santorum.

One example I remember in great detail was over the issue of unions and labor.  Santorum had a very liberal position when it came to unions.  His voting record in the Senate on union/labor issues was almost identical to hard line liberals.  Yet the quiz on who you sided with never dinged him for that as that left that column blank for Santorum.

Therefore I just ignore these things.  Bad information is worse than no information and the easiest person in the world to fool is yourself are the best principles to follow when it comes to these things.

The only value I see in these sites is the possible ability to see how others may label you due to your stated likes and dislikes. I don't align with Trump on much of his positions but I'll vote for him because he's what we need right now, someone to shake up the established "norms".

I believe the correct label for that would be   PATRIOT

Are those sweater vests which you and your friends wear effective to retain core body temperature when the temps in those subterranean bunkers dips below 55 degrees?

Don't need sweater vests, we pay our utility bills so there are electricity and heat in them. Unlike you, who depend on taxpayers to pay your heat and rent for you.

Most of my friends are rocket scientists and brain surgeons.   Yeah, a few of those rocket scientists are known to occasionally wear a sweater vest.  However, most of them feel they don't complement their pocket protectors that well.  On the other hand, I don't think I have ever seen any of my brain surgeon friends wear a sweater vest.  But thanks for asking.
