I know the sorry SOB's son, and to celebrate the anniversary of my being stiffed by him I looked up his son on Facebook last night.  I scrolled down the page until I saw a picture that looked like it could be a father/son moment, and sure enough it was.  They were on a pleasant hunt awww, how sweet.  As I looked closer my disgust turned to rage, when I read the initials on his hat.  NRA. From there my rage turned to a type of hatred I can't say that I've ever experienced before. This POS is posting a dozen pieces of conservative propaganda a day on his page.  Are you fukcing kidding me?!! This lowlife has the gall to call liberals like myself worthless!  Really?!?  He's going to call Hillary a fraud??  Give me a break. Instead of posting his rubbish all day long,  maybe he should be at work making money to pay back what he owes me!

1) You should have secured your loan/investment  with some collateral you dumb azz. A personal guarantee isn't worth jack in a Chapter 7.

2) You should have been able to write off your loss on your income tax return. While you wouldn't have recovered all $20K, you would have recovered some.

But looking at the level of financial advice you seem to receive I wouldn't be surprised you took it totally on the chin. Jeebus.

1. Bankruptcy is something you file for your inability to pay creditors not when someone doesn't pay you a loan back.
2. The only way you would have had $20k available would be if you just received your ag welfare check from the government so it really wasn't your money.

This was no loan, it was a business transaction. I did business with this conservative slug 10 days before Christmas and he waited to file until the day after Christmas because he didn't want to wreck Christmas for his family or employees. This pile of shiit knew he was in the tank and fukced me anyways.  Ironic considering all of his holier than thou Christian posts.

If this guy was that close to bankruptcy and you had proof of it, you may have had a case for fraud. It appears however you'd rather shift blame to a business partner because of your failure to do due diligence on your own behalf.

Unfortunately since the Wall Street inflated ag bubble has popped there have been no profits to write off.  So again,  you're wrong.

Business losses can be carried back two years or forward twenty years. If I were you I'd stop using TurboTax or H & R Block  to do your taxes and engage the services of a CPA.
