Conservatives love to point at Chicago as being some sort of a 'liberal' failure. Maybe you should be paying more attention to your own issues. Drugs are running rampant in bible belt red states. Why no tough talk from the PGiC* about this? Liberals need to medicate themselves due to their beliefs, sexual practices, and them being devoid of having any morals. They are Satan's spawn and live miserable, empty lives. Sioux Falls, which leans heavily left, is having a surge in meth problems.  
Since the drug use is spiking in Democratic/liberal/progressive/socialist administration areas there is strong indication hoards of people can't cope with the reality the queen criminal lost the election!  They have to turn to drugs to blunt the trauma of reality and continue in their fantasy world of La La land.

There is an explanation for some of the "rural" nature of this kind of abuse. In Calif chronic meth and opioid users (tweekers) are relocated in "section 8" housing in areas away from the urban environs they became addicted in as an alternative to jail. Lancaster/Palmdale, Victorville, and a few other garden spots are around the LA basin and are where these "welfare hotels" are in the main. They are set up with housing and put on welfare including MediCal etc. Tragically they simply have relocated the users who have now taken their problems with them.
