My biggest question is why just because he was local, it wouldn't be a terrorist attack?

*According to local police. Couldn't find the link again. Local officer interviewed said that the shooter was a local resident, so they weren't suspecting terror.

No, it's this BS notion that white Americans can't be terrorists. Not saying that this was a terrorist attack at this point, but there are definately white terrorists in the US.

You can tell from the way the reporters are acting that they really want to use the term terrorist attack but are waiting for confirmation. The evidence is stacking up. they checked into the hotel last thursday and got a room with two windows that overlooked the venue. There were 10 "long range" rifles in the room and according to some folks in the crowd who were in Iraq and Afghanistan with knowledge of weapons stated they were firing 3 round bursts which indicated a full auto, probably illegal, weapon. Just saw clips from cell phones in the area, full auto fire was happening there, too. The shooter killed himself before LVPD blew open the door with explosives.
Just saw Trumps speech, he didn't lay blame either. Very moving speech and one like I haven't heard in years from any Pol.

Motive means everything IMO. A white guy opening fire at a country concert doesn't scream terror attack to me. It's not like it was a Mosque or a Planned Parenthood clinic.

I was surprised that ISIS came on so soon taking creds for it. Perhaps they are really desperate. They have a few successes in Europe recently but nothing like this. Latest is that there are other "properties" being searched in Nev. More to come!!!!!

Nobody should have to live in fear of being killed in a mass murder. I don't think that was the purpose of the second amendment. She has a good point though. It is ironic that a place with a high likelihood of being full of gun supporters was on the receiving end of the largest mass shooting in US history. Maybe God is trying to tell you something?

I hear all this talk about "politicizing" the violence after yet another mass shooting. When is the proper time to talk about the elephant in the room? If you had a heart attack, when is the right time to start talking about your diet? If your kid gets drunk and wrecks a car, when is the right time to start talking about alcohol? This is ridiculous. Yet somehow republicans are able to keep doing what they do best. Blame others and deflect the heat away from them and the real issue.
