Glad to see a mom get involved, but public humiliation is not good discipline. There are better ways. I never disciplined my kid in public. You can wait and do it at an appropriate time and place.

Discipline should teach right from wrong, not how to handle shame.

My sister wasn't afraid to to humiliate her younger son. One time he was acting up in Huron "Mall". She beat his ass from one end of the "mall" to the other.

That's not really humiliation. It is more like "corrective action".

Yeah, I know.  However, real child abuse is growing up in a liberal household.  Most of those kids don't turn out all that well.  However, they do like one thing - they learn that nothing is ever their fault and hence they have no responsibility for anything.  Well except to vote for more liberal scum politicians.

I had the exact same thing happen with my son. (You can count on this to happen parents, be ready, and use it as a teachable moment) I took him out of the store, and to our car where no one could see us, and then I CALMLY beat his ass, and we did not go back to the store. game over. Mom continued to shop without us.

Never had a problem again. Lesson learned. What's the hurry, take your time and think it through. Then execute your discipline. It does not have to happen while you're pissed. So I disagree with the public being involve with my family discipline. Besides I don't need SS knocking on my door,

Next opportunity; "The I don't want to go to bed B.S." Decide ahead of time how to correct this too.
