Re: You're covered
Can any libs out there help me to understand how any of this is going to lower health care costs?
Please keep in mind that coverage and care are not the same thing. People have always been able to get care but not all had coverage.
But then why should I care. I will most likely benefit personally from the ACA. As I work in the health care field.

If it's not at the insurance end of the health care field, you'll suffer greatly. Just watch.Freedom Forever wrote:Can any libs out there help me to understand how any of this is going to lower health care costs?

Actually I think most of the discussion of who benefits when and where or even how, is a pointless discussion, when it's pretty obvious the entire economy will likely implode on us anyway. My benefit will be short term and short lived if any.sodaknomad wrote:If it's not at the insurance end of the health care field, you'll suffer greatly. When we're standing in a food line be sure to tell em; "I've got health insurance"

I'm not even signing up. It's way too expensive for my "bank" account and it's not portable. If I get sick, I'll have to go to SooFoo get treated. It's better to be dead than red, anyway.

Why would anybody get insurance if they don't already have it?sodaknomad wrote:Freedom Forever wrote:Actually I think most of the discussion of who benefits when and where or even how, is a pointless discussion, when it's pretty obvious the entire economy will likely implode on us anyway. The penalty is cheaper. And if you do come up with something catastrophic or have an accident, then get insurance, because they can't deny you for preexisting conditions now.
