Mozilla has "fired" their new CEO Brendan Eich after discovery of his 2008 donation to California's Prop 8, the law banning gay marriage which has since been struck down. The reaction from conservatives and libertarians has been swift and brutal with Charles Krauthammer and others calling for a counter-boycott of Mozilla and it's software in particular Firefox.

Even gay blogger Andrew Sullivan has called Mozilla's actions disgusting and intolerant.

While I typically don't engage in public boycotts, I feel the assault on free speech trumps my personal opinions. My decision to uninstall Firefox which had become balky and regularly crashed and froze my MacBook Pro laptop was made all the easier by Mozilla's boneheaded decision to act as Gaystapo and force out Brendan Eich over expressing his free speech rights. So much for diversity of opinion.
If you wish to express your displeasure with Mozilla, their feedback page is still open and is being flooded with negative comments. I also urge you to uninstall Firefox and any other Mozilla products.

If this is the gay rights movement today – hounding our opponents with a fanaticism more like the religious right than anyone else – then count me out. If we are about intimidating the free speech of others, we are no better than the anti-gay bullies who came before us.

I was listening to qu-eer Michelangelo Silverelli or some fukked up name like that, and he was going orgasmic over the news that Eich was forced out of Mozilla. He was saying that Mozilla was a progessive company and they cant have non-progressive people working for them. He also alleged the Eich gave money to Pat Buchanan's presidential run and how horrible that was.

The gay Mafia is never around when you need them. It appears that OkCupid's CEO Sam Yagan once donated $500 to a conservative Congressman who not only voted against gay marriage, but also gay adoption and sexual orientation job discrimination. It appears the Left is eating their own. From that Commie rag Mother Jones:

But there's a hitch: OkCupid's co-founder and CEO Sam Yagan once donated to an anti-gay candidate. (Yagan is also CEO of Match.com.) Specifically, Yagan donated $500 to Rep. Chris Cannon (R-Utah) in 2004, reports Uncrunched. During his time as congressman from 1997 to 2009, Cannon voted for a constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage, against a ban on sexual-orientation based job discrimination, and for prohibition of gay adoptions.
