His annual vacations to Hawaii alone have cost taxpayers at least $20 million during his first term. In 2011 alone, Michelle Obama may have cost taxpayers $10 million on vacations herself. Obama's fantasy golf outing this year cost local law enforcement in Florida a reported $78, 205.

Bush was content to work from home during his vacations. And for doing so, the mainstream media tagged him as lazy and disinterested. The Obamas gallivant around, making plenty of "time for fun," and the mainstream media does not call them out for wasting taxpayer dollars or even for the terrible "optics."

He did authorize military action before hitting the links, but then so did Bush and that didn’t spare him from lefty mockery for years afterward — and Bush quit the game in 2003 because he felt it sent “the wrong signal” when bombs were falling. But maybe that explains it. Maybe it’s okay for O to play because this is still “Bush’s war.” Or is it?

BarryO was running when he said that. He was trying to play on the negative of a President going on Vacations. Comparing what Bush did to try and ameliorate the excesses of BarryO is idiotic and a failed deflection at best. All we see from his Imperial Presidency is that the opinion that Dems excell at spending other peoples money is true and correct and that BarryO and his family have expended more other peoples money on vacatins in his do nothing Presidency than any other on record.
His love affair with golf has two reasons, he's out of the WH and the public eye and he's out of the WH out of sight of his family (does Michelles mom still live there too?). I fully expect him to respond to a tough question with, "can I take a Mulligan on that?" any day now.

Since Valerie Jarrett is the de facto president "What difference – at this point, what difference does it make?" if Obama is in Martha's Vineyard, Hawaii or on the golf course? If after 6 years you still have to blame the problems your incompetence has failed to solve on your predecessor then you are only demonstrating how irrelevant your Presidency is. You'd think that with all the time he spends on the golf course he'd be ready to go pro in 2017. From the shots they've actually let us see he hasn't put one in the hole yet. Anything that gets within 3 ft of the pin is a "gimme".

You'd think that with all the time he spends on the course (reportedly it takes him 6-7 hours for 18 holes  affraid ) he'd have a better handicap (supposedly somewhere in between 16 and 18). Of course he probably approaches golf like he does foreign or domestic policy and isn't afraid to take a mulligan or 2 or 6. Always has been "detailed" oriented and "methodical" even when comes only to scratching his azz.
