I recently was at an event where they played the National Anthem. For some reason, as I listened to the ending “LAND OF THE FREE and home of the brave”, a very interesting thought came to me. Many states have onerous requirements to obtain occupational licenses. The craziest story I heard was from someone I didn’t know. It was a lady making a presentation at a meeting several years ago. I forget what state she was from. However, she wanted to braid hair and open up a business to offer that service but her state did not allow it because she was required to have an occupational license to braid hair.

First off, she needed to go to cosmetology school for a certain period of time at a cost of thousands of dollars to get a cosmetology certificate (or whatever they called it). Well not only couldn’t she afford it, but there was not a single cosmetology school near her that taught hair braiding. So this certificate she needed in order to get PERMISSION to braid hair was not going to teach her one single thing about braiding hair. Never mind that she had been doing it for years for her friends and relatives as was very good at it.

That was just one example, but I thought of many others. In any event, I now know what I am going to talk about the next time I have a friend or neighbor tell me one of these stories about needing permission to do something.

When the candidate promises they will deregulate we have to explore that offices ability to do so by defining their range of authority. Most of these laws are state or regional in nature and must be rooted out by local pols. Since the bureaucrat class has the money and power to influence elections deregulating is an uphill battle. Think about the furor over the Mom & Pop store being crushed under the heel of the evil Walmart etc.

I have been struggling to get my conservative neighbors to understand the peril our country is in and why they should become ACTIVELY involved in our fight against the biggest threat our country as ever faced – REPRESSIVE LIBERALISM. Way too many conservatives are OK with sitting on the sidelines and being a part of the silent majority. They never seem to yell at anything except the TV.

I had hoped it would change when Trump won the Presidency. However, in some ways it seems like it has even gotten worse. While the Trumpsters have become more emboldened and active than ever, the more typical conservative has become even more complacent. They have seemed to adopt the attitude that Trump will fix everything and the country will be saved. Unfortunately, I do not share their confidence.

In any event, it is always interesting how things work out. As I was trying to figure out how to get these conservatives engaged, I was going thru the once a decade process of cleaning out my desk and cabinet. In doing so, I came across some old notes that were very interesting and I thought I would share them. I don’t even remember when or where I got this material, but it was at some class or meeting that I attended.

I distinctly remember the presenter using they typical life cycle graph that probably everyone is familiar with. I grabbed one these from the internet and posted it below.

I remember the presenter talking about the dangers we were facing in Obama’s early years. He made the point that it was not just that Obama was President on why we were in danger. Our danger came from the natural decline of civilizations and the century long growth of REPRESSIVE LIBERALISM in this country. He clearly pointed out that this was a LONG-TERM PROBLEM, not something that just happened because Obama was elected president. He also stressed that merely replacing Obama by a different President would not be the solution. No single person was going to solve our crisis, we were at the point where this needed to be an “all hands-on-deck” solution.
I will provide some of the notes that I took and hopefully they are pretty much inclusive of what the presenter said. He listed the various stages in what he called the life cycle of a nation. They were; Pioneers – Conquest – Affluence – Intellect – Decadence and finally Death.

You could use the second life cycle and replace the names on it as follows:

Birth – Pioneers
Early Growth – Conquest
Growth – Commerce
Maturity – Affluence
Decline – Intellect
Aging – Decadence
Death – Death

The presenter talked about how a business that had a successful product would not just let the product go into decline without trying to extend the life of the product. They would try to augment the product with new features and benefits to increase the value to the customer and thus extend the healthy life of the product. If this was done early in the product’s life cycle, it was not that difficult and something a typical product marketer could do on their own.

The presenter said that if this was the 1950’s in America when we were probably in the “Affluence” portion of the cycle, easy things could have been done to augment the health of our great country. However, he felt that we were in the “Intellect” stage and things were much more serious. He identified the factors that he thought indicated that we were in this “intellect” stage and they included the push for everyone to get a college degree as that was all that was necessary to be successful.

I think he summed it up best when he said something along the lines of “The situation could be saved by mental cleverness alone without the need for unselﬁshness or human self-dedication”. He felt the survival of our nation depended on the loyalty and self-sacriﬁce of the citizens, not every citizen having a college degree.

Well I am not sure exactly where we are on this life cycle curve today, but I personally think that thanks to Obama we have rapidly slid into the “Decadence” stage. I looked at my notes on what the presenter said to watch for to see when we were entering the next and FINAL stage before the death of our great country. Here is what I had listed:

Materialism
Frivolity
Massive expansion of the welfare state
Massive influx of foreigners
Serious decline in the importance of religion
Loss of a sense of duty

I don’t know about you, but when I digest these thoughts that came from that lecture and look around today, I am very worried. I just don’t see how conservatives can afford to sit on the sidelines another day. One only has to think about the values of a Sleazy Slut or Jackoff Jones to understand the moral decay our country has experienced. It is time to:

Conservatives have allowed our educational system to be taken over by the REPRESSIVE LIBERALS. In many states, the powerful NEA teachers’ union has almost total control of the system. Today is the anniversary of one of the greatest days in the history of our once great country. Unfortunately, way too many Americans don’t understand the real meaning of what happened back in 1776. If you ask why our Founders fought the Revolution, you will probably hear:

I wonder just how many of my friends and neighbors have a clue on how much of the money they have paid in taxes have been redistributed (GIVEN) to the deadbeat socialists?

Ummm....yeaaaaa.......Reagan started it, it's his program. Always will be. Obama isn't in office any more. Calling them Obamaphones didn't make sense then, and it really doesn't now. Republicans are masters at generating and spreading this type of fake news. Heck you can even take an issue where private industry exploits Reagan's program and somehow spin the blame on Obama and poor people. Rolling Eyes

Which leads me to your point about Drumpf. He has brought the spin machine to a whole new level in his attacks of the press for their relentless reporting of the facts, and his flock is defending him at every turn. And yes that is my worst nightmare. This is how dictators get started. And Obamacare isn't going anywhere. Even their closed door meetings, far from the press so nothing could be reported on, didn't get them anywhere. It will be up to the next president to fix this, good luck without Democratic support.

Jackoff Jones is a LYING SACK OF DOGSHIT. Obamaphones are like every other welfare program. They get started by some federal department getting created or some feel good program initiated by a left leaning socialist biased Congress. The socialist pigs then infiltrate the federal government department or agency until they control it. Whenever there is a conservative leaning President or Congress, they stealthily protect their socialist giveaway program perhaps even tweaking it so ever slightly (PROGRESSIVELY).

Then when a socialist deadbeat like Carter, Johnson or Obama gets in office, they go wild and greatly expand the giveaways just like what happened with Obamaphones. The low information useful idiots like Jackoff Jones are then supplied bogus talking points and given extra minutes on their Obamaphones to go out and defend the demonrats.

The good news is that Trump will kill off more of these deadbeat programs than anyone could have ever hoped for.
