Early Voting
I'm curious about early voting and its mechanisms for reversing or quitting a vote. How does one change or quit a vote they cast as an early vote? Also, if that vote isn't actually counted and official till election day, what happens to that vote if the person dies before election day? What does a person have to do to reverse or change a vote?

Since it's a secret ballot, there is no way to rescind or change a ballot since there is no way of connecting the voter to a specific ballot. If you die before election day, your vote would still count even though you're dead. Early voting doesn't increase turnout and seems to diminish the stimulating effects of a special election day. Early voting is bs.

Re: Early Voting
Early voting has changed Tuesday November 8 from ELECTION DAY to the LAST day to vote. I agree all this early voting is PURE BULLSHIT. I think every state that has it should immediately begin reversing this trend and head back to the original ELECTION DAY.

Re: Early Voting
“The most popular reform—early voting—is actually associated with lower turnout when it is implemented by itself,” according to the University of Wisconsin team of political scientists who studied state voting patterns in the 2004 and 2008 presidential elections. “This result upends the conventional view that anything that makes voting easier will raise turnout.”

In South Dakota, one cannot change their vote once they vote early.
Several states allow votes to be changed.

Here's another really great article:
http://www.npr.org/2016/10/28/499492832/5-questions-about-early-voting-answered
Obviously the research goes slightly to either side of unchanged, but with an expected nearly 40% of votes being cast early this year, it's obviously wildly popular.

The only thing that you need to know about early voting is that it opens the door for voter fraud by the demonrats. That is why they like it.

If you read the NPR article you'll find that Republicans generally win in early mail in ballots. I would consider that to be the shadiest form of early voting. Wouldn’t you agree?

I am personally against any form of early voting except absentee. I don't care who "wins" the early voting game I just want to see a return to a more traditional kind of voting. Casting your ballot weeks before election day only moves the date that candidates need to make their case up and nullifies any "October surprise" that might happen. I would even go with a ballotless system using a one time voter card to cast your votes on-line. That system would however be subject to the hacking efforts of "murky foreign govts" etc.
