Why shouldn't he have had a gun?

The dude was bat shiit crazy. Everybody around him knew it. His neighbors were concerned over his gun use.  We are told to watch out for suspicious activity. We are told that reporting suspicious behavior is not impeding on anybody's rights, or racist. Same should go for gun ownership.

You can't know what you don't know.  Being reclusive and inhospitable and carrying a gun case to the range etc is not unusual behavour around the country.  The gun grabbers would just love to change the definition of insanity to include anyone who owns a gun (unless they're liberal).  If that happens I'd need an equal prohibition on voting rghts and the first amendment, surely someone that is "bat shiste crazy" shouldn't be allowed to choose our loeaders or annoy us with their bat shiste opinions.
