Washington (CNN) -- Climate change is here and will only worsen. Get used to more flooding, wildfires and drought, depending on where you live. Cities and states across America already are spending lots of money to respond.

I thought "Globull Warming" as per AlGore forecasted extreme heat everywhere, melting of the polar (both North and South) icecaps, increased ocean levels to the point of flooding coastal cities not localized weather extremes from season to season!

The sky is falling continues to be repeated, repackaged and regurgitated.

The term of the week is "Climate Disruption"...climate change is sooooooooo yesterday.  Oblahblah committee today that testified it is already begun are a hodgepodge of left wing tree hugging radical groups so you know they are telling the truth.

After the massive carbon creating climate meetings at Copenhagen failed this phrase was to be the new name of Climate Change, which just a year prior was known as Global Warming, which 35 years ago was known as Global Cooling.

On the official website for Climate Disruption they explain that it's now a more "accurate" term than Climate Change and Global Warming, which are now believed to be bullshit by the general public.

Speaking of Global Disruption ... (that is the latest and greatest politically correct term isn't it?) I don't recall the Milankovitch cycles being specifically mentioned as a cause of the periodic ice ages let alone the current fluctuations in climate.

Milankovitch theory describes the collective effects of changes in the Earth's movements upon its climate, named after Serbian geophysicist and astronomer Milutin Milanković, who worked on it during his internment as a First World War prisoner of war (POW). Milanković mathematically theorized that variations in eccentricity, axial tilt, and precession of the Earth's orbit determined climatic patterns on Earth through orbital forcing.

The Earth's axis completes one full cycle of precession approximately every 26,000 years. At the same time the elliptical orbit rotates more slowly. The combined effect of the two precessions leads to a 21,000-year period between the astronomical seasons and the orbit. In addition, the angle between Earth's rotational axis and the normal to the plane of its orbit (obliquity) oscillates between 22.1 and 24.5 degrees on a 41,000-year cycle. It is currently 23.44 degrees and decreasing.

Similar astronomical theories had been advanced in the 19th century by Joseph Adhemar, James Croll and others, but verification was difficult due to the absence of reliably dated evidence and doubts as to exactly which periods were important. Not until the advent of deep-ocean cores and a seminal paper by Hays, Imbrie, and Shackleton, "Variations in the Earth's Orbit: Pacemaker of the Ice Ages", in Science (1976)[1] did the theory attain its present state.
