Really? Then explain why South Dakota's median age is 36.9 years and the US is 36.8 years. The big outflow of people leaving the state has been led by the rural population leaving or moving to metro areas for greater opportunity. Sioux Falls, in particular, and the I29 corridor, in general, has done much to staunch that flow.
