Perhaps one of the resident liberals/progressives/socialists will be able to supply an to this question I saw ... and borrowed from another site.  ( this question appeared five days ago and remains unanswered)

Why are illegal immigrants, especially the known criminals within the illegal immigrants, so important to this country that they need to be protected from enforcement of local, state, and federal law by certain cities?

That would be a good question for those who are hiring them, but I would imagine it's because they work cheap and fast, and don't bitch like a bunch of toothless sister F'ing rednecks. Apparently the leaders in those cities see the economic benefits.
