From the linked opinion piece: " - - - a staggering 25 percent of the city’s population moved out between 2000 and 2010."
Wow. That explains a lot.

Liberalism is like a parasite or cancer that eventually destroys its hosts. The rapid decrease in population isn't surprising and will happen every single time liberalism is allowed to permeate a society.

It's the same old Agenda 21 they have been pushing for over a decade. We all need to live in government housing with nobody having a nicer apartment then everybody else. Once we are all equally miserable...liberalism would have accomplished all it can.

And how did the auto industry fail? Maybe excessive wages/pensions demanded by filthy liberal union thugs. Maybe excessive taxes demanded by filthy liberal poilititions put there by filthy liberal union thugs.

Detroit failed long before the Detroit auto industry turd got caught in the swirl of the flush. Twenty years of corruption, fraud, incompetence and animosity towards whites by Mayor Coleman Young nailed the coffin shut. Add another 6 years of corruption and incompetence from Kwame Kilpatrick with his 19 Federal indictments and the dirt covered the coffin quickly. Detroit is the poster child of 50 years of failed Democratic policies and administration. Sorry but the Dems own this one lock, stock and barrel.

Where did this entire industry fall to?
Did anyone find where it fell?
Please supply more supporting documentation for your absurd claims.

Much of it moved to places like Alabama, Texas, Kentucky, Tennessee and South Carolina to get away from the destructive democrats. Democrats are incapable of governing anything, Detroit is just the latest, watch for other liberal cities and states like Illinois to all go bankrupt.

That's a relief...based on RWB (DA) posts, I was worried the entire industry somehow collapsed.

Darth - we'll start back in 2008, and try to get you up to speed on this:
Automotive industry crisis of 2008–10 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Automotive_industry_crisis_of_2008%E2%80%9310
-----------
DETROIT // 2008 // Advocates for US automakers are warning that the collapse of the Big Three - or even just General Motors - could set off a catastrophic chain reaction in the economy, eliminating up to 3 million jobs and depriving governments of more than $150 billion in tax revenue. Industry supporters are offering such grim predictions as Congress weighs whether to bail out the nation's largest automakers, which are struggling to survive the steepest economic slide in decades.

Nov. 2008 - "None of us ever anticipated we'd be in a world where our sales for the industry have fallen off 45 percent in the first nine months." http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/story?id=6278396&page=1
--------------------
The Automotive Industry Financing Program (AIFP) was launched in December 2008 to prevent the uncontrolled liquidation of Chrysler and General Motors (GM) and the collapse of the U.S. auto industry.
Recognizing that both GM and Chrysler were on the verge of collapse, the Bush Administration extended temporary loans to both companies and their financing entities in December 2008.

Re: Why Obama doesn't dare speak about Detroit
Wow that is really interesting...and yet at the same time Toyota, Honda, and other car manufactures were at record sales and profits. I wonder what difference there was between the big three and the foreign car manufactures:scratch: ?

Most of those "foreign" car companies manufacture in such exotic places as Mississippi, Alabama, JawJa, SOUTH Carolina and Tennessee. You know, that union free foreign nation, the CSA...

Nope. Huge declines there too. You have much more studying to do, Darth.
At least, you admit to the auto industry decline in Detroit. That's all that was relevant to this discussion, anyway.

So apparently if I understand you correctly...and I think I do...there was a world wide shortage of manufacturing cars because people were walking more or something. Does that about cover your facts?

No. What I said was: "Huge declines there too."
It was to counter your lie that:
