The most famous address in America--1600 Pennsylvania Avenue--is also perhaps the country's most famous haunted house.

Abigail Adams - Her ghost, clad in a cap and lace shawl, has reportedly been seen heading towards the East Room, arms outstretched as if carrying laundry.

David Burns-(who sold the government most of the land)-people have heard a voice coming from a distance in the Yellow Oval Room, saying "I'm Mr. Burns."

Andrew Jackson- people have heard Jackson stomping and swearing through the halls of the presidential residence.

Abraham Lincoln- has been seen standing looking out a window of the Oval office. Others have seen the ghost of Lincoln sitting on a bed pulling off his boots.

William Henry Harrison - In the White House attic, he can be heard rummaging around for something unknown. Several presidents have reportedly heard the unexplained noises coming from the attic above the Oval Office.

Dolley Madison - garden workers reported that Madison’s ghost appeared and prevented them from destroying her rose garden.

A cat - the basement some have reportedly seen the cat claim that it first appears as a small kitten, but as you get closer it becomes a larger and larger phantom beast. When it does appear, it serves as a warning of a great national disaster. The demon cat was supposedly sighted shortly before the great stock market crash of the 1920s and right before President Kennedy’s assassination.

British soldier - a guest reported seen that the ghost of a British soldier tried to set fire to their bed.

Lincoln’s son Willy - some have claimed see him in the very room he died in.

The White House entrance - A torch-wielding British soldier is often seen standing outside the front door.

Doormen-People have also reported seeing long-deceased White House ushers and doormen still tending to their duties.

Anne Surratt - whose mother Mary was hanged in 1865 for her role in the Lincoln assassination. Anne’s ghost has been spotted pounding on the White House doors begging for her mother’s release. She is also reported to sit on the front steps every July 7, the anniversary of her mother’s execution.

Nothing near as exciting happening there lately.  There have only been some isolated reports that the boogeyman lives there.  But I personally doubt those stories since it has been reported that Joe Biden visits regularly and there have been no reports of him firing his shotgun in the air.
