get a huge kick out of my relatives in Ohio. Man of them work closed shop jobs and bitch constantly about the right to work efforts to have their unions kicked out of the state. Out of the other side of their faces they bitch equally loud abot what the union spends their dues for and the outrageous tribute they are being forced to pay. Someday they'll figure out that the union leeches they support are what is keeping their companies from staying in business.

They are pretty good when it comes to this issue.  It is one of the groups that I support.  We have changed how we donate money.  We no longer donate to anything where one single penny might go to help a liberal or a liberal cause.  The only downside in supporting these guys is once you get on their mailing list, the mail including fundraising requests is quite voluminous.  That is a negative, but they do seem to do very good work in this area.

We all know the secret to a successful economy are companies that are neither cost competitive nor competitive on value because they lack anything innovative both of which come courtesy of unions. And for all the dumb people out there who don't believe that, all they have to do is look at the economic juggernauts of Cuba, Venezuela and North Korea where they have 100% union membership.

Is there trouble in liberal paradise? Through the years, the Obama Administration has received tremendous support from the unions, which provided him with plenty of votes in both 2008 and 2012. But the new carbon emissions regulations from Obama’s Environmental Protection Agency are being criticized by some unions and the working class Democrats they represent.

Among the union leaders opposed to the new regulations is Cecil Roberts, president of the United Mine Workers of America. He claims that the regulations will leave tens of thousands of the union’s members unemployed. Yeah, no kidding.

In a prepared statement, Roberts said, “The proposed rule…will lead to long-term and irreversible job losses for thousands of coal miners, electrical workers, utility workers, boilermakers, railroad workers and others without achieving any significant reduction of global greenhouse gas emissions.”

An analysis by the union estimates that the regulations will cause 75,000 job losses in the coal sector by 2020, rising to 152,000 by 2035.

Will the loss of support from some unions cause Obama to back down on the EPA’s strict regulations that will seriously damage the coal industry? Unfortunately, no. The War on Coal is something that Obama has been committed to for a long time, and he doesn’t care how many people are negatively affected by it.

He’d much rather make a few billionaire political donors happy than save the jobs of thousands of coal industry workers, especially since he doesn’t have another re-election to worry about. And as Obama himself predicted in 2008, all of us will pay the price when electricity rates soar. Thanks a lot, Barack. Your quest to destroy America is proceeding along nicely.
