These are very similar to those in Mexico.  Particularly the land ownership and beachfront property ownership laws.  Foreigners were not allowed to own beachfront property in Baja but instead were able to secure long term leases.  In one case a long term lease community of several hundred retired Americans were put off their leases after a technicality was found in the original owners claim.  He didn't own the land!!!!!  Adding insult to injury, the real owner sued the residents for back rent, some as long as 20 yrs

Too strict.?  The above laws are the current immigration laws of MEXICO.!  If it’s good for Americans to obey Mexican laws, then it’s good vice versa.!!!
