i'd thought this thread was over, or just didn't apply directly to me anyway, .. until we went to the McCrossan Boys Ranch Rodeo tonight.
I really did love the designated clown-comic, until he told a "colored joke."   An earlier slight on Obama was just that, slight.  But the "colored joke" was in the presence of a lot of kids, and young dormitory residents of various races including our indigenous youth.  
Now, I wouldn't have the clown hung at high noon or fired, or drug over fire, but I would ask him to leave out the less-classy stuff.   And I do think it's relative to the discussion, especially after reading a bumper sticker on the way out, that said,  "Licensed Illegal Immigrant Hunter".

The clown's colored joke was feeding the problem, and was especially inappropriate in that arena.
