What President Obama has been pushing for, and moving toward, is more insidious: government control of the economy, while leaving ownership in private hands. Politically, it is heads-I-win when things go right, and tails-you-lose when things go wrong. This is far preferable, from Obama's point of view, since it gives him a variety of scapegoats for all his failed policies, without having to use President Bush as a scapegoat all the time.

Carson has been a disgrace his entire campaign. His actions do not match what he tries to sell himself as. He needs to go back to writing books or saving children.

The attitude toward Carson sure has changed since his political debut at the Prayer Breakfast some time ago where he supposedly put some sort of a hurt on Obama. So sad. What happened??

Carson was pretty much a blank slate after the Prayer Breakfast that people pinned their hopes on. However with too many unforced errors coupled with a media all too eager to do a hitjob on him, people lost their initial interest. Personally I don't think Ben had the desire or chops to run a national campaign.

FWIW, IMHO Ben came across as too nice and too honest.
