Ted Cruz tells it like it is

I still like Scott Walker, but that was disappointing.  I think we need to be ready to accept less than 100% perfection as all candidates will at some point disappoint us.  However, they do need to adhere to conservative principles and at some point you have to say ENOUGH if they consistently stray from these principles.

Ted Cruz is a wonderful conservative and he is one of my favorite people.  However, I am not sure if he is electable in a general election.  If you have ever heard his father speak, you would also be very impressed with him.  He tells the story of his early days in Cuba and Fidel Castro.

He talks about how he actually fought for Castro in the early days.  He tells of how Castro hypnotized the young Cubans with his promises of "hope and change" for their country.  However, after having been in the US on a student visa and studying at the University of Texas, he returned to Cuba only to learn that the "hope and change" Castro had been talking about was a move to socialism with Fidel as a Communist dictator.

At that point he realized his mistake and fled Cuba.  It is no wonder that both him and his son are such strong conservatives as he knows what this progressive liberal agenda of "hope and change" will lead to in this country.  All conservatives need to stand strong against the evil agenda of the progressive liberal socialists in this country and we need to let all of the young people know that this evil is represented by the democrat party.

I understand your concerns.  However, if the Republicans can somehow increase the conservative hold on the Senate and the House as well as get a reasonably conservative candidate in the White House, we might have a good chance.  However, if this far left progressive liberalism is not turned back in 2016, you will unfortunately be right.

These progressive liberals are simply the most devastating enemy this country has ever faced.  They need to be stopped in this election or America is doomed.  These people are pure evil and must be stopped or our children and grandchildren will live in poverty under a tyrannical central government.

I agree that Ted Cruz will probably not win the primary or the general election for president. However, I would argue that he is not too far to the right on any single issue.
