Re: The Zimmerman Trial
You mean like George Zimmerman was a racist and actively racially profiled Trayvon Martin for the purpose of killing him and then claiming self defense? (BTW, that misconception seems to be a popular talking point)nightlight88 wrote:When liberals are confronted with facts and their hypocricy they fold their tents and slink away.
I reckon Zimmerman's answer to a question by the dispatcher is considered racial profiling.
Dispatcher
Sanford Police Department.
Zimmerman
Hey we've had some break-ins in my neighborhood, and there's a real suspicious guy, uh, it's Retreat View Circle, um, the best address I can give you is 111 Retreat View Circle. This guy looks like he's up to no good, or he's on drugs or something. It's raining and he's just walking around, looking about.
Dispatcher
OK, and this guy is he white, black, or hispanic?
Zimmerman
He looks black.

Re: The Zimmerman Trial
Ever since the official jury verdict came in as "not guilty" which was contrary to the "unofficial" verdict of guilty being maintained since the incident by at least one or more of the following, NAACP, MSM, anti-gun crowd there has been a loud clamor for justice.
The question posed is ...What kind of justice and at what price will this justice be obtained?
Look at the injustice already being done to George Zimmerman because the American judicial system was used and found him not guilty. Some of those same people who praised this country for being a nation of laws want to circumvent/misuse/overuse that system because they don't like the verdict! There are implied plans for further injustice. Can these actions by those who did not like the verdict of the jury be called justice?
IIRC, immediately after that tragic night in Feb of 2012 the various law enforcements, well at least the local police and FBI investigated and found no reason to bring charges.
Then it seems the political arm showed its muscle and forced a trial. The members of the jury came to the not guilty conclusion which verified the findings of the previous LE investigation.
The laughable aspect of this case is those flatly stating it a fact Zimmerman was ordered to stay in his vehice or ordered to not follow.
The 911 transcript shows this when Zimmerman answered he was following Martin (in an attempt to find where he was going to aid the officers on the way) and the dispatcher said, "Ok, we don't need you to do that". IMHO, a big difference from "being ordered"
ADDED: FWIW, the fact there was apparently only one independent eyewitness is partly to blame for feeding this "justice" frenzy. Then again considering the viciousness of the dialogue I doubt if ten witnesses all telling the same things would have changed the after verdict outcry for "justice". IMHO, this was made to be a racial issue from the start and there are those who want to keep it that way.
